Happy to announce that MY COMPOSITION “DER HELLGRÜNE MOND” (The light green moon – Impression-Etude for piano) is now a new artistic contribution of the

SOUND AND COLOUR - EUPAPROJECT 2022: a multidisciplinary artwork installment with artists from Germany, Kenya and Uganda!

The goal of this project is to derive laws of colour and sound harmony. Ways to describe physiological colours and sound and subjective visual and auditory phenomena. The metaphors, symbols or emotions these two elements add to our social constructions. The images that we see and interact with and the sounds that wake us up are part of our every day.

Barbara Mayer`s virtuoso and colourful Impression-Etude for piano musically reflects various timbres and subtle nuances of green landscape colours. It is inspired by impressionist ideas, f. ex. the musical language of composers such as Debussy, which should be embedded in a contemporary soundscape.

Learn more about the German-African EUPA art project and my work here!

Sponsored by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kampala/Uganda, the Goethe Institut, the Ugandan-German Cultural Society.
